These Apple Pay Terms & Conditions (“Apple Pay Terms”) govern the use of a River-linked Spend Card with Apple Pay.
By adding or using a Spend Card with Apple Pay, you agree to these Apple Pay Terms, River Limited’s legal policies, and Apple’s applicable terms and conditions.
1. Apple Pay Service
Apple Pay is a digital wallet service provided by Apple Inc.
River Limited does not operate, control, or manage Apple Pay.
Use of Apple Pay is subject to Apple’s own terms, privacy practices, and technical requirements.
2. Eligibility and Availability
Apple Pay availability depends on:
Device compatibility
Operating system requirements
Regional availability
Approval by Apple and the Issuing Partner
River Limited does not guarantee Apple Pay support in all jurisdictions.
3. Tokenization and Security
When you add a Spend Card to Apple Pay:
Card details are tokenized by Apple
Actual card numbers are not stored on your device
River Limited does not store or access full card credentials
Apple Pay transactions use secure authentication methods such as Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcodes.
4. Transactions and Authorizations
All Apple Pay transactions are:
Processed through Apple, card networks, and the Issuing Partner
Subject to merchant acceptance and authorization rules
River Limited does not control transaction outcomes.
5. Suspension or Removal
Apple or the Issuing Partner may:
Suspend Apple Pay access
Remove cards from Apple Pay
Restrict usage
This may occur without notice for security, compliance, or operational reasons.
6. Disclaimer and Liability
River Limited shall not be liable for losses arising from:
Apple Pay outages or failures
Device malfunction
Merchant disputes
Apple systems or policies
7. Governing Law
These Apple Pay Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
